Horseback vacation in the Yukon
Dear Rolf,
after so slowly the whole holidays processed, I would like to thank once again for the very nice care.
If I think today again of the riding excursion with Rolf, I would like to search immediately a riding stable and devote my selve to the Horses and Horse riding.
Unfortunately, I wake
from this nice dream again and sit either on my office chair and do
not have the horse mane before myself, acts separate a mountain or I stand in the traffic jam and have horse power from metal of myself. Both not thus the hit.
You see that I have kept my first riding attempts probably, nevertheless, in very best recollection and will also keep certainly - also in spite of the violent muscular strain in all limbs. I think that this is particularly to be owed Rolf who was here very prudently and einfühlsam - Thanks-
I think or hope, in any case, that we see again.
Kind regards from Berlin, also from Thomas

Ciao Ingrid and Rolf
Indeed, it is already some weeks, but the Yukon area is (and
remains) to me still long very present!
I and my both girls would like to thank to us again quite
warmly with you. Your hospitality and warmth was to
us a delight and the ride (with the ZDF everywhere in the Büueschen) was
one of the highlights on our unforgettable trip.
I have immediately recommended your riding business of course and
a customer of me departs in approx. two weeks for Whitehorse (Dr.
ship's carpenter and his woman). Nevertheless, I hope very much that them with
you station do!
As soon as you hear something, when exactly and under which title the
ZDF broadcasting runs (Easter 07 is inexact just a little bit), I would be to
you very thankfully for a short mail.
Many greetings to you, the horses and in the wonderful Yukon

Dear Schmittis,
the everyday life has us again!
In the airplane on the return flight I let once more the past 3 weeks pass in myself.
It was an indescribably nice vacation, in spite of the excitement which we had because of Gerhards to broken arm (with the walking on the Chilkoot Trail passed).
Paty and I have enjoyed the riding tour really very much. The step security Eu'rer "peasants" has fascinated me. Even in the most difficult area one feels always sure.
The great impressions and experiences which we could find out during the riding tour and during our wanderings were still excelled by the warmth with which you have looked after us.
We have never felt like "easy" vacationers, but how at home with very good friends.
For it and for all assistances, and of course for the overriding Verköstigung again many thanks.
We will miss to You everything very much.
- Not least also Frostys early morning Weckzeremonie for Paty – twice over the face licked. – Is So light and never in a good mood them up to now got up.
Lots of love,
of course also to Franziska
Your Rosis

Today sorry Markus and Mike I has read only the
visitors' book from the fox terrier to brine Cabin and Eueren entry covers which was not listed yet here.
Dear Ingrid, dear Rolf.
The prejoy on the Yukon was gigantic. However, when we came after a long trip, finally, here, it excelled our expectations by far.
This rest, this scenery... WOW!!!
Seldom we have felt as free as here.
The wild animals, as for example Wolf on the lake shore before the Cabin to hear from the next nearness and to observe were unique nice experiences. Many clarifies, we will take adventurous and amusing stories with home as a Souvenier of the Yukon.
One it is clear: First sometimes in the Yukon the last will not have been certainly sometimes.
A bombastic thank-you to Rolf and Ingrid for this week in the bear's land in these wonderful and urgemütlichen Cabin. We are glad gigantically about the next 2 weeks with you on the ranch.

July, 2006
A mail the guests to the magazine "Mein Pferd" have sent:
Love " My horse editorial staff ":
We already live since long time in Toronto / Canada and were at the beginning of July, 2006 in the Yukon on vacation. Among the rest, we also took part on the "sir NORTH COUNTRY RANCH" in Ingrid and Rolf Schmitt in a day ride.
Now we have agreed from the both email in what they informed us that an article with photos, from my man and me, soon in your magazine appears. The Schmitt's have also received the ready printed side already from you and have passed on to us, but, nevertheless, we would have with pleasure also the magazine still, in addition.
Would you become please is so nice and inform us, when this issue with the article " with the Grizzly on eye level " is available in Germany in the newsstand? Then we will mobilize family or friends in Germany to buy this issue for ourselves. We come at the end of August to Germany and then can receive it. My family lives in Regensburg, there your magazine is also sold.
I, Margita Stalf, am on the wohlgenaehrten horse "Buddy" in the foreground and my man is at the side standing (with the hand behind).
It was really a nice day! The scenery was und romantically delightfully wildly, the horses well, the hosts wonderfully and in addition beaming, blue sky! What does one want more?
What has impressed us mostly was how well the Schmitts treat her horses. We were about the years already on several ranches in the USA and Canada and have never experienced so much love and care of the owners for her horses. For big Tier-und of horse lovers like us it was able to observe a relief this.
We would be glad about your short communication. Many thanks.
With friendly greetings
Margita and kind of Stalf

It could be good that I have got an infection with a " Canada/Yukon of virus ".
This powerful still natural land, the world Plfanzen and animal world, many people whom I have dripped letzendlich also to her, your intensive life with your horses, have reminded me once again that there are many good possibilities, to life!
I am glad to have You kenngelernt, thanks for the unforgettable experience of the ride. I would never have thought to be able to build up so much trust to a horse.
A "Streichel greeting" (behind the ears) for Buddy.

We spent marvelous, deep-frozen days here on the ranch with Ingrid and Rolf, Frostbite and Blackie which took up us quite warmly and looked. Vieln thanks also for the valuable and helpful tips for the ski wanderings and ski tours, as well as for our second leg of the journey to Inuvik.
Here our days have encouraged the longing to Canada and have strengthened. Maybe we get still sometimes to live here at least as a part-time Canadian!
All the best for the future of all SIR-NORTHLER, we will come again and recommend You most warmly.

Dearest Rolf and Ingrid,
I had the best of all time with you guys! Thank you for the wonderful experience! I told everyone about the alien lights, the doggies, the horses, the weather, the people, the Yukon Quest, the fact that if it was not for Vegas, I'd probably move there!
Anyhoo, I'll send you pictures of Vegas as aoon as I can find them. Hey it quietly with the mare, Fleming. She's thus attached to him, as all women get. The weather must be warming up there new, anyhow?
It what plans sooo muggy when I got off the. Then yesterday, we had MARGIN FREEZING. I went for a run and it goes whoring! Micron hands and skin on micron face are peeling and chapping again. Go figure.
Anywayz, I'll talk to you both soon, I'm sure!

Dear Ingrid and Rolf
Thank you thus very much for the wonderful photos of us in the beautiful Yukon. We are thus glad we took the time to venture thus far north of the world, having lived all our lives thus far south. We came home to 46 degrees celsius, with bush fires all around and all our trees with burnt tops.
You have look a wonderful opportunity to show the world what you have in the wilderness of Canada. You show that you are thus comfortable in showing that you treasure the area that you are in.
The day we spent together wants be remembered, for the fish caught, but for the aura that surrounded us.
If ever coming to Sydney, Australia, please email us prior, thus that we can host you for a reciprocal day.
Regards and best of all wishes

Hello Ingrid and Rolf,
yes. we have come again well at home.
It was the stay nicest up to now in the Yukon for me. We had great fishing experiences, especially with Bob,
while with Jerry the strong wind and the swell throttled the success something. Still we also had there
great experiences and marvelous scenery views.
Our journeys to the Kathleen and to Dawson and Skagway remain unforgettable to us. In the Cabin we have
felt very well. In addition there came great sight of game: Mule deer, wapitis, eagles, coyotes, chickens, fox etc.
During the last day around 15.00 - I was over just on the porch with the stack - then an
immense elk's bull still trudged majestically directly under hut on the lake shore. Everything could be held on by video and photo. I am about
already just
to work on a suitable film. If you allow to come up to us in November a German postal address,
I can send You during Eueres of stay here a copy.
Your program was so thick - and of ours also-, so that it has worked with a meeting, unfortunately, no more.
However, all in all, we were very contented and hope, you were it with us also, so that a future reunion
is not excluded in the Yukon.
Many greetings, Erwin and Hans-Werner! 20. September, 2005
To Ingrid,
Rolf and way ..........
From
the Teslin we just came to experience new adventures. We
did this with You in the alliance, on Trail, in the camp, with
horse and dogs. Of the mountains wonderful light, we caught
by eye, video and photo! The (horses) A way as
loyal companions, were "on Trail" the big experts. With
her help, this was nice, we could Flat-and Pilot-Mountain
seh'n.
Now time is to be pulled - unfortunately,
the time with You we further preserve.
As the presumably last guests in this " Indian of buzzers " we want to thank rather warmly for five nice days You. It has been right everything, we can only praise your arrangement. After our Teslin Yukon-canoe tour the ride in the mountains was the cream bonnet of our vacation and just as we had fancied this.
Continues in such a way!
A lot of success
in the next time

We were one week here on the ranch. If we read the other reports, there is nothing more what one can write, it would be a repetition. Therefore, a few thoughts which came to me at the bank in the Takhini-River to the sense:
My grandparents said long ago if you liked to dream closes the eyes. I did this also on this bank, however, nothing came so properly. When I the eyes opened then again I knew, here a dream became true.
It greet You with gratitude

After a wonderful week in the fox terrier brine we might spend 11 absolutely great days with you on the ranch. Above all the day ride by the woods was a quite special experience. Back
from the mountains of the Chilkoot Trails, ravenous and ausgepowert
found like with You a small little paradise. Again

we received the unique opportunity
to get to know the variety and beauty of the miraculous Yukon.
The
girl, Ingrid and Katrin led us certainly and obliging
in the deepest depths of the wilderness. Not only the
marvelous nature, but also the uncontrollable cheerfulness of
our hosts enchanted us unforgettably. Thus one week will
never dwindle with you from our recollection. For
it we would like to thank warmly!
Our thanks count of course also for both dogs, Blacky and Frosty which have protected us always certainly and also the horses, Catapillar and Buster which accomplished really unbelievable.

We became from You, Ingrid, Rolf and Katrin, very warmly accepted and to her have given an understanding to us of a piece Yukon in miraculous way. You are an absolute top team (3 people, 2 dogs, 9horses) and have got to give to us in spite of a rainy day an unforgettable stay in the Yukon.
Ingrids cookeries are excellent, but the servings were for us überdimensioniert. It was difficult for us to press us before a nachschlag.
Many thanks and
the best wishes for You

Thus here ....... here it was great! If only the loo already in addition einläd to stay down longer on him one must say to the rest probably hardly a lot. 4 days Canada in which we had to be astonished already a lot: bemuskelte horse asses, more than fitte dogs, mountains, woods, rivers, lakes, food which is a matter to excel in quality and quantity barely and rest. (and this comical Cabin, the nice house, the look from the dining room ...)
Here say I sometimes: Schööön!
Many thanks for everything of all. Even if it just is raining now, the mood was always nice and sunny! As my father mentioned several times: " We remain in connection! " Yes, there I am for!
Greetings beside Rolf and Ingrid also and Katrin, Blacky, Frostie, Buddy and Buster ~ we are family:-)
Furthermore: See you soon! Tschüssi! It was great!

We have been greeted by the first moment very warmly from You and have been taken up. Already already that's why we have felt right away very well. We have spent a miraculous time with You and have got to know the Yukon of one of his (probably) nicest sides.
Christoph
It was great to have eaten once Mooseburger. Food was always tasty anyhow - not only the small strawberries which one finds here everywhere. We leave this little place of heavy heart - where one can enjoy here, nevertheless, even the nice view in the quiet loo. It is real there since too nicely to Shh ......, there one does not come at all under it from the loo.
We take our impressions with after good old Germany and wish You all the best. Thanks for the hearty hospitality.

"The Spell of the Yukon"
There's gold,
and it's haunting and haunting; It's luring me on as of old; Yet it
is not the gold that I'm wanting thus much as
precisely finding the gold. It's the great, big, broad
of land' way up wonder, It's the forests
where silence has leases; It's the beauty that thrills
me with wonder; It's the stillness that fills
me with peace.
(Robert Service homage)
Much better we can also not express it!
1 Day back from the wilderness - and already lacks to us the horses. This was an indescribable experience. Not only because of the scenery - no! Also how Ingrid and Rolf have given us the feeling to belong to it absolutely!
